Is War With Iran Inevitable?

The title speaks by itself; by the end of this year or latest next year there will be a triggering moment/event which will provoke the Israeli State backed by the US Military to attack Iran and very likely invade it. These aren't just rumors or conspiracy theories, this is reality and we will have to face it, regardless of whether it pleases us or not.

The current Iranian President Ahmadinejad has repeatedly provoked international outrage by continuing Iran's uranium enrichment program for the development of nuclear sites as well as nukes (of course kept hidden) and most importantly by predicting Israel is doomed to disappear.

In a conference on June 2nd he stated that the Muslim would uproot "satanic powers" and repeated his controversial belief that Israel will soon disappear from the face of the Earth: "I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased form the geographical scene. Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United State has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started."

Ahmadinejad: Israel Will Disappear From Map

The resignation of the top U.S. military commander for the Middle East is setting off alarms that the Bush administration is intent on using military force to stop Iran's moves toward gaining nuclear weapons. Here are 5 developments which may be seen as a clue to what has been planned for a war scenario against Iran.

Resignation of Navy General Fallon

With the army fully engaged in Iraq, much of the contingency planning for possible military action has fallen to the Navy, which has looked at the use of carrier-based warplanes and sea-launched missiles as the weapons to destroy Iran's air defense and nuclear infrastructure.

Vice President Cheney's Trip To Middle East

Cheney has gone to the Middle East to try to give a boost to stalled israeli-Palestinian peace talks. However he also went to 2 other places: Oman, a key military ally and logistic hub for military operations in the Persian gulf; Saudi Arabia, whose support would be sought before any military action given its abilities to increase oil supplies if Iran's oil is cut off.

Israeli Airstrike On Syria

Israeli strike deep into Syria last October was reported to have targeted a nuclear-related facility. However sceptics are considering an alternative scenario where the true purpose of the airstrike was to force Syria to switch on the targeting electronics for newly Russian anti-aircraft defenses. In fact knowing the electronic signatures of the defense system is necessary to reduce risk for warplanes heading to targets in Iran.

Warships off Lebanon Coast

Two U.S. warships took up positions off Lebanon replacing the USS Cole. the deployment was said to signal concern over the political stalemate in Lebanon and the influence of Syria. But the U.S. would also want its warships in the eastern Mediterranean in the event of military action against Iran to keep Iranian ally Syria in check and to help provide air cover to Israel against Iranian air defense systems.

Peres Comments

Israeli President Peres said that Israel will not consider unilateral action to stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. In the past though officials have consistently said that they were prepared to act alone to ensure Iran does not cross a nuclear weapons threshold. Was Peres speaking for himself, or has President Bush given the Israelis an assurance that they won't have to act alone?

More Troops In Afghanistan

On the 16th June, British Prime Minister Brown surprisingly decided to increase the number of british troops in Afghanistan under the "influence" of US President George W. Bush. He stated it was in Britains' national interest to keep the deployment to the highest level since, otherwise "they [the talibans] would come to us." Not only this, but he also kept the number of troops in Iraq much higher than what was expected; last year PM Brown said he was going to reduce the troops to half by spring 2008 (now) and possibly leave the country by the end of the year. But guess what, he did exactly what Bush wanted to, keep the soldiers in the Middle East and even increase the number due to the supposedly "terror threat".

Now, let's look at this from a different perspective, shall we?

The picture speaks by itself; the actual reason for such a massive presence of US and UK troops in the Middle East isn't because of the so-called "Al-Quaeda terrorists"; on the ther hand the true motive behind the daily attacks and bombings in the islamic countries is the very presence of these troops. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why the armies are being positioned along the Iranian bordering nations in order to surround it completely for the upcoming war.

Israeli Model Attack On Iran In Crete

This is probably the most significant news on the upcoming attack on Iran. The Israeli military has been simulating an air strike on Iran in the island of Crete for the past month, with an impressive 50 F-15, 50 F-16, 10 CH-53E Sea Stallion as well as 1 Awac. The name of the operation, "Glorious Spartan '08" is a recall of the movie "300"; no need to say more. This news was "leaked" by officers of the Bush Administration to the New York Times although Israel has refused to confirm it, but said that the aviation does practice regularly to confront the various menaces against the security of the Israeli State. The reason for choosing Crete is because it is as far from Israel as the nuclear site Natanz in Iran (1500 Kilometres). Could Natanz be the first target? Very likely indeed.

Ron Paul On Iran & Energy

Bushs' Speech

Surprisingly, George W Bush publicly stated he will make sure that before he leaves office next year, either Iran is attacked or it stops its' weapons program. He just admitted that he is going to launch an attack in Iran; why? because Iran isn't developing any nuclear weapon. Bush is using the same trick he pulled-off as an excuse to invade Iraq and it seems that the people aren't waking-up, or will do so too late. Be prepared, we are in for a wild ride!

With Iran continuing in its' development program of enriched uranium on one side and the Bush administration eager to stage an attack and even a full-scale invasion of the Islamic country on the other side, it is just a matter of time before the war will start.

Furthermore in my two previous hubs I discussed the effect of a war against Iran on the US economy and the follow-through to Global Economic and Food Crisis.

I'm really sad to be talking bout these things but the general public has to know about the events which are going to occur in the near future and how to prepare for it. The war with Iran is invevitable and it will affect us as much as it will affect the Middle East.

I don't think so. American new president will learn from Bush's Mistakes. War is not solution for Middle East problem.

^Both Obama and Hillary Clinton have stated several times that they will eliminate the Iranian threat if the situation gets out of control, not to speak about McCain who's pro-war like most other Republicans.

I'm going to make another thread in the next few days on the presidential election in November and the "Iranian threat", so you will have a better idea of what's really happening behind this puppet show which the media is publicising.

Think the price of oil is high now. How much after an attack on Iran? Course their crazy, but never the less. Seems to me that the real criminal states, the US and Israel need a distraction and scapegoat for all their own daily litany of crimes. Not that hard to research if one truly wants to know.

Hmm. Well, a lot more people than you might expect do think that this administration will find a way to make sure the next Presidential election never happens. War with Iran somewhere around October-ish would certainly do it. Personally I don't understand why Bush & Cheney have not been impeached. They've both committed so many impeachable offenses at this point that to my mind execution is warranted--impeachment is way too good for them. Yet we all go along our daily lives just patiently waiting for Armageddon. It's surreal, I hate it. I don't know what to do about it. I planted vegetables. Wow, what a revolutionary I am! But seriously, aside from leaving, I don't know what an average person is supposed to do in the face of this kind of mess.

I don't know... Americans don't want another war, our economy can't handle the costs, and it could be political suicide for either party to try and attempt it. It could also mean more global isolation, which we cannot afford either.

There's way more to risk here than gain... I'm not convinced. We haven't gone into North Korea...

Definitely not good. I can't imagine the implications of anther war front for the U.S. So much damage would be caused, for so many people, on so many fronts. Yet another war is a real possibility because a few people in positions of power think such solutions are the best moves. It rarely is true that going to war is a good thing or turns out as well or better than expected. Yet it is human nature, especially when you can lose a lot of humility by being in a strong power position, to think that your plans and ideas are better than everyone else. How many times have we all said to ourselves "that won't happen to me" about so many trivial things in our lives.

In 2010, either one will occur: Israel will attack iran's nuke sites and Iran will retaliate OR Iran will reach the nuclear threshold level and have their first small atomic bomb.

It's really unfortunate to see that how th nuclear tcnology is being misused. I beleive the only way out is that very country destroys its nuclear arsenals. Only the end of nuclear weapons would bring some peace. AS long as USA has its arsenals, Russia and Cina would have them too. Beacuse of China, India has built nuclear weapons and because of India, Pakistan has entered the race. It's more or less a chain which i fear might continue growing. Global zero is one such initiative trying to eliminate nuclear weapons and make the world free of them in future. To read a short, concise description of Global Zero, please visit,
